The Arboretum has acquired trees and plants from around the world for research as well as display. The grounds are kept beautiful and healthy with new experiences 365 days a year. NC Wildlife Centers

Each region of North Carolina now boasts a wildlife education center operated by the Division of Conservation Education. With a mission to increase awareness and understanding of wildlife resources, build an appreciation of the outdoors, and develop stewardship of North Carolina’s wildlife, the wildlife education centers are, in equal parts, a visitors’ center, learning institution and fun destination for families.
